Do I need a registration number or license to donate goods?
Most OFAC sanctions programs provide exemptions to their prohibitions for certain donated goods, such as articles to relieve human suffering. This is not the case for all programs, however. If you wish to donate food to Sudan, for example, you must apply for a specific license. You should refer to the legal section of OFAC's website for the regulations applicable to the specific target or target country of your donation.
